Beauregard Watermelon Festival Idol Contest
Festival Dates: June 23 - 25, 2011
Show Date & Time: Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 7:00pm

*****There will be no equipment available for cassette tape accompaniment*****
RULES
1. All contestants must be on Fairgrounds 30 minutes prior to show, and must report to stage to sign in.
2. All participants must be amateurs. Professionals are NOT permitted to compete.
3. No more than 5 persons are allowed in an act.
4. Each act must have its own entry form.
5. Contestants may only appear once in any given show.
6. Each performance is limited to four minutes. Performances which exceed these limits will be disqualified.
7. No bands are allowed to compete.
8. There is no residency requirement.
9. No tape may have the lead singer on it at all. Background voices cannot exceed more than 50% of the tape. There must be ample time for judges to hear contestants voice to ensure proper judging.
10. Only one trophy per winning act will be awarded.
ALL CONTESTANTS MUST PROVIDE A COPY OF THE LYRICS NO LATER THAN JUNE 18, 2010 FOR APPROVAL BY THE FESTIVAL BOARD.

Youth 2 yrs - 14yrs Talent………………50 1st Place…Trophy & Certificate
Adult 15yrs & above Showmanship……...30 2nd Place…Plaque
Costume/Staging..…20 3rd Place…Plaque
Total Points………100
